Shingobee’s experience with construction of financial facilities – banks and credit unions – is among the best in the region, with a resume of 68 new-construction and remodel projects to date. We have been fortunate this year to work with several community banks in Minnesota to upgrade their existing facilities.

Shingobee has built or has under construction several new buildings for Thrifty White Pharmacy in Minnesota and Iowa this year. They have caught the attention of the news media with a couple of recent news stories.

Construction was started in May on a new Tribal Justice Center for the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, in Cass Lake, MN. This $6.3 million, 30,000 square foot one-story building will house their tribal courts and police facility. Construction progress over the summer has included concrete and masonry work, followed by structural steel erection.

Groundbreaking was held Wednesday, August 5, for Red Hawk Estates in New Town, North Dakota. Pictured above are Tribal Councilman L. Kenneth Hall with North Segment leadership and Architect Mike Laverdure. Shingobee will be constructing the 36-unit apartment building for the North Segment Community Development Corporation, an entity of the Three Affiliated Tribes.

Shingobee Builders recently completed construction of the Paradise Car Wash and Detail Center in Maple Grove, MN, a project that was constructed under a Cooperative Compliance Partnership agreement with Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MNOSHA).

Shingobee has completed construction of the new Meskwaki Travel Plaza for the Sac & Fox Tribe of the Mississippi in Iowa (Meskwaki Nation). The new fuel station / convenience store is located at the entrance to the Meskwaki Casino, near Tama, Iowa.

Shingobee recently completed a new office building for Edina Realty, located on Schmidt Lake Road in Plymouth, MN. Construction of the 10,000 square foot building for owner United Properties started in August 2014 and was completed in January 2015.

Work has been progressing through the winter on the addition and remodel of the hospital in Tioga, North Dakota. The initial portion of the project experienced delays caused by utility service relocations, contaminated soils, and steel delivery delays. But since then, sufficient time has been made up to bring the project back on schedule.
