Construction was recently completed on the addition of a new Short-Stay Rehabilitation and Wellness Center at Ecumen Detroit Lakes. The project is a key component of what is envisioned as an innovative “one-stop aging services hub” that integrates technology, socialization, fitness, nutrition and health care to help keep seniors in rural Becker County healthier.

Shingobee was the general contractor for a Holiday Stationstore project that won a STARR Award at Minnesota Shopping Center Association’s annual Shopping Center Tribute Awards for Retail Real Estate event, held on Tuesday, December 2. The Holiday Stationstore, located near the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport Terminal #2, was recognized in the New Construction: Retail under 10,000 Square Feet category.

At its Annual Meeting on November 20, 2014, the MN/ND Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors recognized Shingobee Builders as their Construction Company of the Year. The award recognizes the outstanding efforts of the member company who contributed the most to ABC and Merit Shop over the past year.

Shingobee will be in attendance at the AIA Minnesota Convention & Product Exposition next week. The convention runs from the 11th through the 14th at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Exhibit Hall A. The event will attract over 2,000 attendees, and feature more than 200 exhibiting companies and over 50 seminars!

Congratulations to everyone at Bonefish Grill in St. Louis Park! The new restaurant, located in the Shops at West End, celebrated their opening yesterday afternoon (November 3). Completed by Shingobee Builders, the new restaurant is the first Bonefish Grill location in Minnesota.

Shingobee will be at the upcoming MNCAR Commercial Real Estate Expo on Wednesday, October 29th at The Depot in downtown Minneapolis. The featured program will be a presentation by Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie on the potential impact of having the World’s Fair here in Minnesota in 2023.

Shingobee has begun construction of a Paradise Car Wash and Detail Center in Maple Grove, MN. Located on Elm Creek Boulevard (the former Champps restaurant site), the building will be 15,600 square feet in size, providing a tunnel wash, three detail bays, a customer lounge and support areas.

A festive Groundbreaking was held on September 24, 2014, to celebrate the start of construction of a new branch facility for TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union, in Golden Valley, MN. TruStone Financial executives, board of directors, and key credit union stakeholders were joined by Shingobee Builders and HTG Architects representatives to mark the occasion.
