Shingobee’s experience with construction of financial facilities – banks and credit unions – is among the best in the region, with a resume of 68 new-construction and remodel projects to date.
We have been fortunate this year to work with several community banks in Minnesota to upgrade their existing facilities.
We are currently building an addition and remodel at Financial Security Bank in Kerkhoven, MN. The project involves demolishing a building adjacent to the bank, as well as their current drive-through, then building an addition, a new drive-through, and remodeling the current bank. We will, of course, keep them open for business while all of this happens!

Earlier this year, we provided a complete interior remodel/upgrade for Annandale State Bank in Clearwater, MN. We carefully phased the work on the teller stations, restrooms, and other areas to minimize disruption to their business. They were able to remain open for business throughout construction.

In July, we did a quick refresh of the interior at Klein Bank in Buffalo, MN. In two weeks’ time, we built two offices, replaced carpet on the main floor, moved the greeter desk, and various other interior and exterior upgrades.

Lastly, we have just begun a complex demolition/remodel at Security State Bank in Aitkin, MN. A portion of their building will be removed, the remainder of the existing building will be remodeled inside and out, and parking areas and building entrances will be reconfigured for better access and security. We will complete the demolition, site and parking area improvements well before the snow flies. The remaining remodel work will continue until December. The Aitkin County newspaper recently posted a story about the remodel, featuring Bank President Jeff Running.
