More about the Holiday Stationstore #332 (Hiawatha Reconstruction)

In late 2020, Shingobee provided budgeting and value engineering to begin reconstructing a new 3,900 square foot building at the same location at 46th and Hiawatha in Minneapolis. While civil unrest caused the destruction of the original 1,000 square foot convenience store, our team worked efficiently to deliver a new location within 11 months of the riots.

Despite permitting delays and a winter start date, our team carefully orchestrated site logistics to organize work on the small, urban site— reducing the construction schedule from the typical 20-24 weeks to just 16 weeks! In addition to national recognition, this project was honored with the Award of Excellence from the ABC- MN/ND Chapter and a STARR Award from the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA).

Other key project partners on this project included Circle K Stores Inc., Architectural Consortium, Nelson Rudie & Associates, Erickson Roed & Associates and Sunde Engineering. Thank you to ABC for your local and national recognition and congratulations to everyone on the project team!
