As Shingobee celebrates 35 years in business – a look back, and looking forward When Gae Veit started her own company in 1980, she would not have dreamed of the success it would become. Starting out with providing construction-related activities like fencing and snow-plowing, she soon moved into general contracting for construction.

Work begins on unique renovation project

Shingobee has begun work on one of our most interesting, unique interior renovation projects in recent memory. Clockwork Active Media, a creative Internet media design company, has been looking to expand its office space, and leased space in a run-down industrial building near its current offices in northeast Minneapolis.

Edina Realty Holds Groundbreaking for New Office Building

Edina Realty hosted a festive groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, August 4, for a new office building to be constructed on Schmidt Lake Road in Plymouth, MN. Shingobee will be providing construction for the 10,000 square foot building, which will be owned by United Properties.

Students Tour In-Progress Dickinson Public Works Building

The Dickinson Public Works building is scheduled to be ready for move-in in July. Last week, a group of students took a field trip to the building to learn about what the Dickinson Public Works department does for their city.

Kroll Ontrack Campus Remodel Nears Completion

Shingobee is nearing completion of a major remodel of 186,000 square feet of interior office space located in four buildings of the Corporate Campus for Kroll Ontrack, an Eden Prairie based ediscovery and data recovery company.

Shingobee Selected for Construction of Kroll Ontrack Campus Remodel

The project is a 186,000 square foot interior office remodel in four of the Kroll Ontrack campus buildings, designed by Perkins and Will Architects (Minneapolis, MN), and coordinated by Jones Lang LaSalle (Minneapolis, MN).

Xcel Energy Montrose Service Center Achieves LEED Certification

The Xcel Energy Service Center in Montrose, MN, which Shingobee provided as a build-to-suit project for Xcel Energy, Inc. in 2011, has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. The project’s final LEED rating reflected 40 documented and approved points, corresponding to the Certified certification level under the LEED for New Construction.

Shingobee Donates New Flag Pole at Spirit Lake Tribal Headquarters

A new flag pole and U.S. flag, donated by Shingobee, were recently installed at the Spirit Lake Tribe’s headquarters building in Fort Totten, North Dakota. Shingobee is currently constructing a new Elderly Center for the Tribe, and donated the flag pole as a gesture of good will.
