New Town, North Dakota

Shingobee provided design-build construction services for this new five-story office building for the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara Tribes in New Town, North Dakota, in conjunction with HTG Architects of Minneapolis.

The 50,00-square-foot building houses the Three Affiliated Tribes’ Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO), Energy (Oil and Gas), Natural Resources, Tax, and Environmental departments. The building also contains shared spaces such as meeting rooms, a multi-purpose room, cultural center, fitness center, limited-use kitchen, and miscellaneous building services.

Unique design elements include a two-story atrium incorporating cultural themes, a 100-person meeting room wired with the latest technology, and a rooftop patio.

Construction started in August 2014 and was completed at the end of 2015.
