Shingobee Builders, Inc. recently announced promotion and new-hire appointments in its management team:

  • Nancy Samson, CPA, was promoted to Chief Financial Officer.
  • Tony Godlewski has been promoted to Vice President in charge of the St. Cloud office of the company, to oversee the project management team providing construction services in greater Minnesota and North Dakota.
  • Elliot Christensen and Bill Trout were hired as Senior Project Managers in the Loretto and St.Cloud offices.

 

Nancy Samson

Nancy Samson has held the position of Controller for Shingobee Builders, Inc., since 2005, and has acted as Corporate Secretary since 2007, and Treasurer since 2006. During her tenure, her focus has been to improve the company’s risk management policies.

Keith McDonald, Shingobee President and CEO, stated, “Nancy’s promotion to Chief Financial Officer reflects the increasing complexity of financial management and our strategic plan for continued growth of the firm.”

Nancy graduated from St. Cloud State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, then went on to achieve her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in 1998. She has 19 years of experience in a variety of industries, with 15 of those years in the construction industry.

 

Tony Godlewski

During Tony Godlewski’s 20-year career as a project manager for Shingobee Builders, he has managed dozens of retail, bank, and commercial construction projects. In recent years, he has led the company’s expansion into North Dakota, managing several commercial projects in Williston and the surrounding area.

“Tony’s experience as a project manager will provide an invaluable resource to the project teams in the St. Cloud office,” said Keith McDonald. “His communication, discipline, and attitude toward owners’ concerns produce excellent results and extremely satisfied clients.”

Tony’s background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with Construction Management emphasis, from Mankato State University; Combat Infantry in the United States Army; and, more recently, certification as a Green Globes Professional. He served as a board member and on the Construction Management Advisory Committee at Mankato State from 1995 to 2006.

Shingobee also recently appointed Elliot Christensen and Bill Trout to Senior Project Manager positions in the Loretto and St. Cloud offices.

Elliot Christensen

Elliot Christensen will manage business development efforts in Shingobee’s Loretto office, working closely with the real estate development team to provide construction opportunities in the Twin Cities metro area and beyond. He joins Shingobee with over 14 years of experience in sales, project management, and office management for a national construction company, developing business opportunities throughout the upper Midwest. He is a graduate of St. Cloud State University, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology / Education.

 

 

Bill Trout

Bill Trout will assist with business development, estimating, and project management in Shingobee’s St.Cloud office. He comes to Shingobee with 23 years of experience in commercial construction, managing projects ranging from small remodels to new multi-million dollar facilities nationwide, for clients such as Cargill, Signature Flight Support, and Mesaba (Pinnacle) Airlines. Bill’s professional background includes employment at Donlar Construction, Westin Constructon, and Kraus Anderson. His education includes an associate degree from Dunwoody College of Technology and related coursework at North Hennepin Community College.
