North Dakota Senator David Rust cuts the ceremonial ribbon at the Tioga Medical Center Grand Opening, with members of the hospital’s Board of Directors and management looking on.

 

Tioga Medical Center held their Grand Opening on Friday, December 11. Shingobee was General Contractor for the addition and remodel that broke ground on June 10th, 2014. The project included adding a 15,000 square foot two-level clinic, a new ambulance garage, an expanded emergency area for the hospital, and a remodel of the existing facility.

 

The Tioga Tribune published a front-page story about the event, including a mention of Shingobee’s own Superintendent Jerry Fuchs:

Tioga Medical Center CEO Randall Pederson praised the team that oversaw the construction and kept the project moving along. Among those he mentioned is Jerry Fuchs, superintendent for Shingobee Builders. Underneath Shingobee was a slew of subcontractors, each fitting together various interdependent pieces and parts. Pederson said Fuchs was instrumental in coordinating them all.

 

“Jerry had a special way of working with these guys,” he said. Fuchs seemed to enjoy the challenge of bringing it all together. “If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would,” he said.
