Shingobee worked with Clockwork Active Media to remodel an old 1920s sheet metal fabricating shop into a modern, creative and collaborative office environment.

First, the building shell was improved by the landlard (Volna Real Estate Holdings LLC). Clockwork then engaged Shea Design to develop an interior design and chose Shingobee as general contractor.

The building's timber frame structure will remain exposed in the new interior space.

The space is 11,000 square feet and features the building’s original, massive beams and an exposed timber frame structure (pictured above, at the beginning of the project). The project included construction of partitions, workstations, finishes, stairs, a kitchen, and restrooms.

The end result is an office space that fosters creativity and working together in an open environment for the Clockwork Active Media staff. Below are a couple pictures of the finished office.
