St Luke's Hospital Aquatic Therapy Pool

A new Aquatic Therapy Pool will provide a beneficial alternative form of therapy that is useful for a variety of medical conditions.

The expansion added a new 8,500 square foot clinic, a large lobby/waiting area which is shared with the hospital, and education and meeting spaces in the lower level of the two-story addition. The addition of the clinic to the existing hospital has allowed them to provide more efficient health care, enabling shared services with the hospital.

The project included significant renovation of the 27,700 square foot hospital, providing for a new emergency center, lab, and admitting areas, an expanded central nurse station, and upgraded spaces throughout the hospital. Demolition in the existing hospital required asbestos abatement. The work was phased to allow continuing operation of all areas during construction.

A prominent canopy entrance was also added, as well as a new enclosed emergency entrance to the hospital.

Construction started in September 2010, the new Clinic was completed and opened in August 2011, and renovation phases continued through December 2011.
